Why aren’t Tax Returns Required for Presidential Candidates?  It has been a “tradition” for the last few decades, but why aren’t they (say last 5 years) required to be made public?  We need more information about our candidates, not just their groomed public view .  Their wealth, and other info, on a redacted tax return is something that could be very helpful in determining if a candidate deserves our vote.    Hence the volunteer system up to this election cycle — when it stops?
